Night Adventure in the Mountains

So to start this off, Jay and I recently did a night hike to an old abandoned Nazi camp. I had camped near there about a year ago and had always wanted to go back. This time, I went with Jay and at night, and we took a different route. It was eerie. I don't think I'm scared that easily, but some moments were unnerving.We were hiking down a dirt road, one we were supposed to drive down, but I didn't get the fire code access in time. Anyways, it turned out for the better because Jay spotted cement stairs off the side of the road, and I recognized them from when I was at the camp last year.
We decided to take them, and they led on forever. It was like the never ending staircase into the dark abyss. Yet when we finally got down to the bottom (they basically went straight down the side of the mountain) we marked our spot and followed the trail that led down toward the creek.
There we quickly ran into the Nazi camp! Was it eerie but exciting! I was hoping that we wouldn't run into anyone, and luckily we didn't.
So we explored the main building, the gardens, and the ruins of another building. I had forgotten about the barn that was further down the trail, but that just means we'll have to revisit the camp again. hahaha.
With the night setting on the little point and shoot I had, we experimented a little bit with light painting! Ooooo.
After our escapade, it was time to head back up those many treacherous stairs, and trust me, I felt it the next day, or the next couple days for that matter. Hello thunder thighs.
The hike back to the car was nice, I don't remember everything we talked about except I wondered if Jay's mom liked me, and he said that she said she did. Ooookay.
We munched on some old Jordan almonds and when we got back to my place, had some viet food from my relatives. Yummy. Was I tiiiiired though, but it was a good night.
